Nine Lives, is the story of Tom Brand (Spacey) a workaholic, disconnected from his family, particularly his beautiful wife Lara (Garner) and his adoring daughter Rebecca (Weissman).
With time running out for Tom to get his daughter a present for her 11th birthday party, his GPS directs him to a mystical pet store brimming with odd and exotic cats- He meets the eccentric owner- Felix Perkins (Walken), who talks him into a majestic tomcat, named Mr. Fuzzypants. Even though Tom hates cats, because Rebecca has always wanted one, he takes the cat. En route to the party, Tom is in a terrible accident when he regains consciousness he learns that, he has become trapped inside the body of Mr. Fuzzypants. Trying to adjust to life as the family cat, he develops a new perspective on life and family, but will it be enough for Tom to be returned to his human form.

“I was looking for a dog, but not really looking looking,” Lopez, 55, tells PEOPLE. “Then I held him, and I said, 'Hey, maybe this might be the dog for me.' “ Owen had been rescued by Wags and Walks, but no one had given him a permanent home. “Owen had been turned over a few times,” says Lopez. “People had kind of looked at him and passed on him.” But the comedian was immediately drawn to his puppy's personality. “He's quiet for a Chihuahua, which is rare,” says Lopez. “This guy's all about people and all about connecting. I thought, 'Wow, what a special dog.' “ And Owen's also an expert at giving – and getting – affection. “He licks a lot,” says Lopez. “He loves people! He's a master at getting you to pet him.” One of their favorite things to do together is to watch television while enjoying some dessert. “I'll give him some pudding while he's watching TV,” says Lopez. “He loves that!” Even though Lopez hasn't traveled much with Owen yet, he is planning on taking him on his upcoming “The Comedy Getdown Tour” with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley and Charlie Murphy. “Eddie Griffin brings his dog Peanut, and I'm supposed to bring Owen so that Peanut and Owen can hang out,” says Lopez. One of the best parts about having a dog for Lopez is that Owen keeps him active. “They make you do things for them, when you don't want to do things for yourself,” he says. “In the morning, you've got to take them out. He makes me do things like get up and go down stairs, and walk around. Miley Cyrus and her Beagle Freedom Project adopted dog, Barbie. Celebrity, Miley Cyrus, is a noted supporter of animals and animal causes. The singer and actress recently shared her latest animal family member addition, a Beagle, named Barbie. Cyrus, adopted Barbie from the Beagle Freedom Project, a non-profit, organization that has used rescues as a way to educate the public about their use of animals in medical research and testing and why they are working to end it.
Since the organizations inception in 2010, Beagle Freedom Project has made a splash with their emotionally charged rescues and via support of those like Cyrus, but now the organization is hoping to diversify their efforts and further their effectiveness with plans that include a smartphone app to help people shop for cruelty- free products, supporting government legislature and awarding five grants of $50K each to scientist or research teams who share in their goal and passion of eradicating the use of animals in lab testing

The Secret Life of Pets opens in theaters tomorrow, July 8, 2016. The highly anticipated film from Illumination Entertainment, the studio that brought us the ‘Minions’, and Universal Pictures, Pets takes us on a picturesque, adventure through NYC exposing the secret world of our beloved animals. Funny men, Kevin Hart, Louis C.K. and Eric Stonestreet headline the movie along with other celebrity talent including Lake Bell, Ellie Kemper, Albert Brooks and Dana Carvey.
Eric Stonestreet, who voices rambunctious, rescue dog Duke, in the movie, recently shared what he thought his late dog, Coleman, might have done every day.

 Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus via Getty Images Hunger Game Star, and Miley Cyrus Beau, Liam Hemsworth, has been named PETA's sexiest vegan celebrity for 2016. The animal rights organization picked the hunky 26 year old star as their honoree, praising him for his plant based diet. The star, told Men's Health Magazine last year about his decision to adopt a vegan lifestyle. Singer, Jhene Aiko, was also honored. The organization named Cyrus as their sexiest Vegetarian just last year, in 2015. Looks like the couple that loves animals together stays together!

It took 13 years to bring Finding Dory, the sequel to the 2003 Disney-Pixar, Oscar- winning animated fish tale, Finding Nemo, to life but audiences didn’t seem to mind the wait, with the film racking in a record setting $136.2 million in it’s premiere weekend. Making it the largest opening for an animated film to date. Finding Dory also marks the first animated film to ever land on the top 20 over all list, of movie openings.
The film isn’t just swimming to box office, financial success it is also garnering positive reviews and praises from the critics, who have once again fallen for the little fishes and creatures of the ocean.
Finding Dory focuses on forgetful, blue tang fish, Dory and her quest to find her parents. Ellen DeGeneres, who campaigned for years for a sequel, once again provides the voice for, Dory. Audiences will all see familiar characters from the original movie, including, clown fish father and son duo, Marlin, voiced by, Albert Brooks, and Nemo, voiced this go around by, Hayden Rolence. The film will also introduce to some new aquatic friends, including Hank, the Octopus, played by Ed O'Neil and Idris Elba and Dominic West lending their voices to Sea Lions, Fluke and Rudder.
Next up in summer animated, animal centered movies is Universal’s, Secret Life of Pets, opening July 8, 2016. Will see if audiences love fur as much as they love fins! For Ryan, a mother in real life of an 8 year old daughter, the movie provided her the perfect opportunity to be part of a family movie that the whole family could enjoy.  Jeri Ryan with one of her animal co-stars, Zack the Zebra Q: What drew you to this role? Jeri Ryan: The first and most appealing part of it was that it was aimed at kids, because I’ve never done anything in my career that was truly a family film. My daughter is now eight, and the prospect of doing anything that was aimed at her and her age group was very appealing. Q: Did you draw on any of your personal motherhood experiences to prepare for the role? Jeri Ryan: Of course, as a parent you are sort of perpetually terrified. You are never not worried about your kids. So it was easy to tap into those emotions for this role. I remember when we were on set, filming the scene where they tell me the plane had gone down and they don’t know where the kids are, the other actor, between takes, asked me how I was able to cry so quickly, and I told him it was because I am a mom. Q: As a mom what’s the one piece of advice you always give your daughter?
Jeri Ryan: The advice I give my daughter is to just be kind, and she truly is. She makes me want to be a better person. She is an amazing person, not just a sweet kid but also an amazing person. We should all be more like her. PBS is rolling out it's sixth installment of their, docu-series, "Shelter Me" this month. Perfect timing for, May's National Pet Month. The series, was created by filmmaker, Steven Latham, who based the idea for show on his own desire to spread positive awareness of rescue animals, shelters and the people that work tirelessly to support them.
Latham hopes the "Shelter Me" series will inspire more communities to get involved with their local animal shelters and help by adopting, fostering, donating, volunteering or by networking animals through social media.
